Orville Lee Chapman
(January 17, 1946 - January 28, 2012)
Orville Lee Chapman, age 66 a longtime resident of Warren passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Father Murray Nursing Center in Center Line, Michigan. He was born January 17, 1946 in Lakecity, Tennessee. Orville worked for Tringali Waste for over 25 years as a garbage man. He enjoyed watching professional wrestling, and going camping. Orville loved animals. Even at his home in Warren he had a little farm where he raised chickens and many other animals including his angry little Chihuahua, Mona.
Orville was predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend, Barbara in 2005 whom he was married to for 30 years. He is survived by his loving son Curtis and his wife Donna Chapman. He was born into a large family and is also survived by his brothers, Billy (Cheryl) Hatfield, Ronnie (Martha) Chapman; Sisters, Gayle (James) Taylor, Kathey (James) Huffman, and Donna (Eddie) Stanford. He was predeceased by two siblings, his brothers Robert Chapman, and Michael McCulley. Brother-in-law to David (Bridgette) Hamme, Cindy Hamme, and the late Fred Hamme. Orville was a dear uncle to Ronnie, Jr., Richard, Lynette, Amy, Melinda, James, Julie, Greg, Brad, Becky, Allison, Heather, Jeff, and Tim. Great-uncle to Abigail, Ethan, Alexis, Zack, Connor, Ryan, Kyle, Samantha, and Addison. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at the S. K. Schultz Funeral Home, 21705 Gratiot at 8 ½ Mile Road in Eastpointe from 2:00 until 9:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township, Michigan. In lieu of flowers donations to the family in Orville’s memory will be greatly appreciated.
