Robert Lee Kiesgen

U.S. Veteran

Mr. Kiesgen passed away at the age of 80 at Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife Louise. They were married on February 11, 1950 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Mr. Kiesgen and his wife have lived in Clinton Township for 45 years.

Mr Kiesgen was a loving father to Rochelle and her husband Ralf Hiebl and Shelia and her husband David Taormina. He was predeceased by his son Robert Gregory Kiesgen.

Mr. Kiesgen was a cherished grandfather to Lindsay and her husband Michael Aho, Justin Taormina, Joshua Taormina, and Aleesha Kiesgen. In addition a great grandfather to Sophie Ann Aho.

A loving brother to Carl "Bud" Kiesgen and Maxine Huetter. He was predeceased by his sister Joan Jones.

Robert Kiesgen was proud to have served his country in the United States Marine Corp. For 40 years he worked as a District Manager in the steel industry.

Visitation will take place at The S.K. Schultz Funeral Home at 43300 Garfield (just north of 19 Mile Road) in Clinton Township, Michigan 48038. The visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2009 beginning at 3:00PM to 9:00PM with a 7:00PM Scripture Service.

Additional visitation will be the following day, Thursday, November 5, 2009 beginning at 10:30AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at St. Matthias Catholic Church located at 12311 Nineteen Mile Road in Sterling Heights.

Interment will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township.
